Chlamydia is one of the most commonly sexually transmitted diseases and sexually active individuals and individuals with multiple partners are at highest risk; however, you do not usually find out that you have it until you have been tested. This is because it is usually present and has no symptoms, only about 30% of women experience symptoms and up to 25% of men have no symptoms. If it is diagnosed early on, treatment is simple and quick and almost always unproblematic. However, if left untreated it can lead to infertility and other serious complications.
